1. 2009 Collective Bargaining Agreements
The
GGAV Industrial Relations Committee have completed a draft Collective
Bargaining Agreement for use by GGAV members.
This agreement has been submitted to the Australian Government's National
Code of Practice for the Construction Industry for assessment, to ensure
it complies with their Implementation Guidelines, to ensure members can
work on government funded projects.
Their response is expected within two weeks. Following their
response and any alterations required, a briefing session for members will be held on the content of
the agreement its implementation and application by members. This
briefing will also include information on changes to Industrial
Relations in Australia that take effect on 1 July 2009 and 1 January
2010.
Members should not sign the Union distributed agreement whilst this
Collective Bargaining Agreement is under development.
